The exclusion of the resonance line transition in the analysis provides an opacity free diagnostic method with limited need for spatial deconvolution. For the interpretation of the experimental data we have developed a collisional-radiative model involving autoionising states with high n spectator electrons. The atomic data for dielectronic satellite transitions are calculated with different methods and compared also in view for diagnostic applications.
